Middle School students enjoyed various activities as part of House Charity Week from 20th-24th June. Fundraising activities included wearing casual clothes, guessing the number of lollies in a jar, having a bake sale and seeing Florey House staff all completing an ice-bucket challenge.

The highlight of the week was Year 9 students, Shae White, Millie Foster and Megan Bothma, cutting a combined length of 75cm off their hair! The girls donated their pony tails to Pantene Beautiful Lengths which uses donated hair to make wigs for women suffering from hair loss due to cancer.

The following are the charities that were chosen by students:

• Cuthbert – The Leukaemia Foundation
• Durack – Breast Cancer Research
• Florey – Association of Volunteer Bush Fire Brigades WA
• Hollows – DT38 Foundation
• Lingiari – The Cancer Council

In total, $1292.50 was raised during the week and will be divided between the different House charities.
