Strong pastoral care underpins all that we do and involves all children and adults who participate in the daily life of the school. Emphasis is placed on the creation of a supportive atmosphere where children feel safe, valued and a sense of connectedness.
The classroom teacher is primarily responsible for the nurture and care of each student. The Associate Principal of Primary School, School Chaplaincy team, School Counsellor, specialist teachers and non-teaching staff support the classroom teachers in their role. Older students are encouraged to demonstrate concern and care for the wellbeing of younger students through the Buddy programme.
The Primary School runs the You Can Do It! Programme, which focuses on building the social, emotional and motivational capacity of students.
