With the expectation of great weather, we headed off on Monday 15th October to Camp at Forest Edge Recreation Camp, just outside of Waroona. Given that Forest Edge was a victim of the Waroona Bushfires in January 2016 it was amazing to see how well the rebuild of the camp had gone.

We quickly settled into the dormitory, ate some lunch and then had an introduction to the Boot Scooting warm up activity. The Forest Edge team split us off into our groups and we headed for our first activities. Being organised for this was the key and students quickly realised that they need to be ready to go!

Students, staff and parents took part in a range of activities including The Big Fox, Target Shooting, Rock Climbing, Low Ropes, Abseiling, Pamper Pole and the Incentive Course. We all enjoyed the activities and the view from the top of the Abseil tower is magnificent and included the waterfall in the river. A great time was had too at the end of the incentive course activity in the mud and given the rainfall over the weekend, there was plenty of it too!

A massive thanks to the staff who attended: Ms Cunningham, Mrs Booth, Ms Sorci, Mrs Lawrence and Mr Croot, Mrs Grey and Mrs Kerins. An even bigger thank you to the parents that came along – Mrs Bramley, Mrs Wyer, Mr Foster and Mrs Colbourne who were there to support all of the students and also participated in the activities as well.
