St Cecilia’s Anglican Church
Just a short walk from the School campus is St Cecilia's Anglican Church, the Anglican Parish of Quinns-Butler. Students often visit to attend special services at the Church. The Church warmly welcomes members of the School community to connect and become involved with the St Cecilia's.

Groups and Activities

Amnesty International
4th Saturday each month, 10:00am, St Cecilia’s Church
A letter-writing group within our Church that is part of a world-wide network of more than one million activists who help make a difference and change people’s lives for the better in a real and tangible way. Bring a pen and a couple of aerograms if you wish to help make a difference.
Coffee Morning
Thursdays, 10:00am to 12:00pm, St Cecilia’s Church
Bring a friend and spend an hour or two getting to know one another better over a cuppa. Everybody is welcome, including mums and/or dads with children.
Crèche
Sundays, 9:00am, St Cecilia’s Church
In order to facilitate personal worship, parents are welcome to leave their children (from 2 months to four years old) in the crèche during the Sunday 9:00am family service.
Cursillo
3rd Saturday monthly, 8:30am, St Cecilia’s Church for breakfast and meeting
At Cursillo there is an atmosphere of joy, with Eucharists, singing, laughter, tears, times of reflection, silence, talks and discussions, and creative activities interspersed with individual prayer and study, which focus on action.
Like a pilgrimage, Cursillo is for the faithful, and is intended to rejuvenate Christians on their journey. If you wish to become a Cursillista, Cursillo weekends are held in September.
God’s Club
Sundays, 9:00am, St Cecilia’s Church
Children aged four to 11 years old are welcome to participate in fun and friendship. God’s Club children enjoy a story and prayers as well as arts and crafts and games that relate to the weekly readings. Children re-join their parents in the service to receive a Blessing.
God’s Gang
Sundays, 9:00am, St Cecilia’s Church
Particularly for Young People aged 11 years and over. God’s Gang enjoy fun and friendship, as well as games and discussions that not only relate to the weekly readings, but encourage an awareness of their Christian faith and growing relationship with God. God’s Gang re-join the service to receive Holy Communion.
Mother’s Union
3rd Monday monthly, 10:00am, St Cecilia’s Church
The Mothers’ Union is a world-wide society within the Anglican Church whose aim is to advance the Christian religion in the sphere of marriage and family life. Members are linked together by prayer, worship and service to others.
Parish Pantry
The Parish Pantry is most generously stocked both by families in the congregation and the funds received by holding regular community sausage sizzles. It provides emergency food assistance to families in need living within the parish.
Pastoral Care and Prayer Chain
This vital ministry provides: prayer support, home or hospital visiting for the sick and incapacitated, and Holy Communion to those unable to attend church.
Spiritual Mentoring
“Come back to the Lord” - There is a Spiritual Mentor within St Cecilia’s who is qualified to assist you. Journey deeper into God with a spiritual companion; someone who will ‘listen to you with the ear of the heart’.
