Middle School

Welcome to the Middle School

In the Middle School we believe in the holistic development of each student which is achieved through a broad range of academic, physical, social, emotional and spiritual experiences appropriate for students in the Middle Years of schooling. Pastoral care and curriculum are designed to meet the very specific needs of the early adolescent learner with an emphasis on student centred learning.

The Middle School has been an integral part of Peter Moyes Anglican Community School since Foundation in February 2000 and is designed to effectively support students in the transition from Primary to Secondary education which is such an important time for young people. We provide a learning environment designed specifically to meet the needs of students in Years 7, 8 and 9 as they move through this challenging phase.

We encourage students to pursue our shared goal of “personal excellence, with compassion for others” and to embody the school values and beliefs in all aspects of their life both in school and outside of school. Students are encouraged to be responsible for their own learning whilst being nurtured in a supportive environment. We encourage students to be independent, self-directed learners who have an enthusiasm for learning, an understanding of themselves and the ability to make a positive contribution within the community.
