This term the students and teachers finally got to play on our new outdoor play equipment. What an amazing addition to our beautiful school. This space invites open ended interactions, spontaneity, risk taking, exploration and discovery. All age groups have enjoyed using it over the last few days.
The playground is the result of many hours of planning to make sure the School designed a physical environment that meets the needs of our students. The students played a vital role in its development and commented on all stages of its construction: from drawing up their own plans, to meeting with Andrew from Natural Play Australia, and finally undertaking a risk benefit assessment and a book of rules to keep them safe.
We look forward to many years of enjoyment as students continue to play as they learn.
