On Thursday 30th November, our Primary School Principal, Mr Wood, and Deputy Primary School Principal, Mrs Brown, were duct taped to the walls of the School as a reward for Primary School students for successfully completing the Principal’s Reading Challenge. Class 2.2 and 6.1 were the top reading classes so they got to do the honours and stick the duct tape on their Principals.

We also had a very special guest in attendance, the Hon. Christian Porter MLA, Minister for Social Services and Member for Pearce, who presented book prizes to two students for being the Most Improved Readers during the Challenge, Isabella Holl (Year 6) and Andrew Bird (Year 2). Well done Isabella and Andrew!

Students from Pre-Kindergarten to Year 6 were so enthusiastic about this term’s Principal’s Reading Challenge that they surpassed the target, reading for a total of 257,727 minutes in just 5 weeks. Their target was 250,000 minutes in 6 weeks.

Well done to all our readers and a big thank you to Mr Wood and Mrs Brown!
