On Wednesday 27th February 2019, all of the Year 4 students travelled to Fairbridge Village in Pinjarra for three days of Year 4 Camp.

We tested our resilience in many adventure activities, including rock climbing, archery, the giant swing, the leap of faith and the flying fox.  We also had to work together using problem-solving skills in the race the clock activity.  Thankfully, at the end of the day we had a dip in the pool to cool off.

Quotes from Year 4 students about their Camp experience:

  •   Camp was awesome. We had lots of fun. Everyone loved the Leap of Faith and the Giant Swing. Cameron Williamson
  •   I mostly like the Giant Swing because when you leap off of it, it swings you high and I have never done those activities before so it was a really good experience. Logan Rampling
  • Camp was exciting because it had such fun activities and I got to see my friends all day long. I loved the flying fox! Nina Adamson
  •   I liked that the people in my cabin played ‘spotlight’ before we went to bed. I also enjoyed the Flying Fox! Nicholas Blizard
  • I loved how the teachers had solutions for if we were scared in the activities, like the Giant Swing.  My favourite food on camp was the Indian curry and the                  rice. Coral Gomm

The students showed great courage and positivity by giving the activities a go, especially if they were not fond of heights! The staff members at Fairbridge Camp also commented on how supportive, friendly and polite the Peter Moyes students were.

We would like to thank our five fabulous parent volunteers for their tireless help.
