Anglican Schools Commission - Schools’ Week

The week of the 3rd to the 7th of September was the week of the biennial ASC Schools’ Week celebrations. One of the key celebrations of the week was the Eucharist service held at St George’s Cathedral on Wednesday, 5th September.

All of the schools of the ASC, including those from the eastern states, were represented, with students from each of the schools having a role in the service. Peter Moyes Anglican Community School was represented by four of our Senior School student leaders, the Primary School Choir joined by a Year 9 student, and a team of dancers from the Middle and Primary Schools. Two of the student leaders proudly carried our School banner in the processions. The choir sang the offertory song, accompanied by the dancers who performed a liturgical dance – escorting the offertory to the altar. All of our students did an amazing job representing PMACS!

My thanks go to the students for representing our School so well. Thank you to the parents who attended the service in support of your children! Special thanks also go to our staff for all of the hard work that they did with the students in preparation for the event.

The Eucharist is always a deeply meaningful celebration that is centred on the Lord’s Table, a Table of Grace where all are welcome!

God bless.
