"I shall pass through this world but once."
There are occasions in life when someone says or does something that you remember for the rest of your life. In this context, I would like to share some words with you that a priest taught me when I was in primary school. They are simple words that I have never forgotten and which have often been important to me in situations that I face in life. I hope that they will be meaningful to you as well.
I shall pass through this world but once.
Any good therefore that I can do,
or any kindness that I can show
to any human being,
let me do it now.
Let me not defer nor neglect it,
for I shall not pass this way again.
