Graphic Design and Marketing Officer

The School is seeking a professional and enthusiastic Graphic Design & Marketing Officer to join our fast-paced Marketing & Community Engagement Team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the development and production of key publications for the School, including the Yearbook, Annual Report, and The Crest magazine. The Officer will also work closely with the Marketing & Community Engagement Manager and Marketing & Events Officer, to provide event support and enhance the outcomes in communications, branding, relationship building and student enrolments.

This position is 0.94 FTE, fixed term for 12 months, with the possibility of permanency.

Alongside the standard four weeks of annual leave, this role includes an additional week of leave during each of the April, June/July, and September/October school holiday periods.

Daily hours are 7.30am to 3.30pm, however some flexibility is required for evening events and meetings. Start date to be negotiated with the successful candidate, to commence as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Yearbook design, production, print and distribution
  • Annual Report design
  • Semesterly School e-magazine content collation, design and publishing
  • Promotional material design and production including advertisements, event invitations, branded merchandise
  • Event support
  • General marketing and communications support
  • Back-up support for Main Reception during busy periods or staff absence
  • Assistance in Health Centre when required

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Proficient in design and editing software including but not limited to Canva, Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Work autonomously and efficiently
  • Ability to plan and prioritise work
  • Maintain professional performance under pressure
  • Exercise discretion and confidentiality

Desirable Selection Criteria

  • Experience in a similar role in graphic design, marketing or events, preferably within the education sector
  • Proficient in School software including Synergetic, SEQTA and MS Office
