Dance is a dynamic and expressive art form that empowers students to communicate ideas, emotions and stories through movement. At Peter Moyes Anglican Community School, students are encouraged to explore their creativity, build confidence and develop their technical and choreographic skills in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Offered as an elective from Years 7 to 10 and as a Senior Secondary course in Years 11 and 12, Dance provides students with opportunities to experience a diverse range of styles, genres and performance practices. Through creating, performing and responding to dance, students develop artistic expression, collaboration, discipline and a deeper understanding of culture and the world around them.

A highlight of the program is the annual Dance Performance Evening, where students take to the stage to showcase their talents and present original choreography developed throughout the year. This allows students to share their passion for dance with the wider community while gaining valuable performance experience and confidence in front of an audience.
